The Shop Stewards training that was scheduled for Jan. 21st has been rescheduled for Feb. 18th. If you were registered for the Jan. 21st class you should plan to attend the Feb. 18th class. Please contact the hall at 253-565-3232 to confirm your attendance.
If you are a CDL holder you may have received a letter from the Washington DOL regarding "self certification". Below is a link to a very informative video put out by Wa DOL on this subject. It should answer any questions you may have.
Do you have a son or daughter or do you know a Union memeber with a son or daughter who will be continuing their education after high school? If so, they are invited to apply for the Jerry Beckendorf Community Service Scholarship. During the past 9 years 70 scholarships worth nearly $43,000 have been awarded. Applicants must complete a 500 word essay describing their most rewarding volunteer activities and what they learned from the experience. They must also: be a Pierce County High School student, have at least 1 parent or guardian that is a union member & Plan to attend college or university, community/junior college, trade or tech school in the Fall of 2012.
